Welcome to TCYC's 2008 Junior Sailing Season 2008 will mark a major change in the manner in which TCYC provides educational programs to our junior sailors. Over the past 10 years Junior Sailing in the United States has changed dramatically. Juniors and parents have demanded improved, expanded and professionally administered sailing education programs. As a result, an entire new profession of coaches, instructors, and administrators have emerged. They are working with Yacht Clubs throughout the US to provide professional sailing education programs to our children. TCYC will be rolling out our new Junior Sailing Program this year.. Our focus is to provide every child with the environment and opportunity to enjoy and advance their sailing at all levels. This will be accomplished through the utilization of professional junior sailing resources to design, administer and execute our program not only for the summer but also for the spring and fall. We continue TCYC’s traditions of Sailing Camp and Bait Camp and introducing redesigned spring, summer and fall sessions. We will be administering clinics and sessions to junior sailors ages 6- 18 at levels of sailing instruction from beginner, to intermediate to advanced racer. Our fleets will be comprised of Optimist, Lasers, and 420’s. But most of all we will focus on having fun on and off the water sailing and getting our kids excited about the sport.
